About Me
“Her exquisite grace and poise is only rivaled by her beautiful voice!” ~Dalton Baldwin~ Victoria Baker is one of the foremost young performers of her generation. With an unparalleled versatility, her varied theatrical and musical experiences have enabled her to thrive. Victoria’s career began with an unlikely twist when she was just 11 years old. Quite by accident, she found herself auditioning for a London Radio Program lining up with hundreds of other young girls. She sang “London Bridge” and to everyone’s amazement the casting director sent the other girls home and chose Victoria. This led to recurring appearances with the B.B.C and Thames Television. During her course of study at the Juilliard School Victoria’s early forays upon the NY public have included engagements at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Concert Hall and Bruno Walter Auditorium. She has performed for the Princess Grace Foundation and been given a royal invitation to sing at the Palace in Monaco and for Queen Noor in Jordan. The product of a cosmopolitan childhood, Victoria divided her formative years between London, Paris and summers in the country where she first discovered her passion for music, writing and unearthing lost love stories….the culmination of these three has found a perfect haven in her first book ‘In Search of Lost Love’ about the love lives of opera composers, released for the first time in the U.S. just this month. During her spare time Victoria’s more trivial pursuits include sitting in cafés, hunting for hidden treasures in antique markets and serious window-shopping!
