Annie has a new song out called "I Know Ur Girlfried Hates Me". It's not as catchy as "Chewing Gum" and "Heartbeat", but it's not bad. I really love how Annie isn't afraid to put out a very electronic sound with her music.

If you are wanting to watch a movie with the Netflix movie viewer, and you are using the Firefox 3 browser, the movie viewer will not work in the browser since it only works with Internet Explorer. However, you can install the IE tab add-on into Firefox 3, right-click on the movie's link, and choose the option, "open with IE tab", or something like that. Then, it will work perfectly and you will still be using Firefox 3 instead of Internet Explorer (the worst browser ever!).

Austin is way too hot right now. I went out Saturday, and even at night it was too hot. Instead of getting alcohol to drink at a bar, I was drinking bottled water. I hate the cold, but this heat is becoming very irritating. Last year, Austin had tons and tons and tons of rain. I think all kinds of records were broken, and the heat was never this bad. There is a remix of M.I.A.'s "XR2" by Blaqstarr that I was able to download from the M.I.A. Fans message board. The picture that I put with the song is from a party at the Museum of Modern Art in New York called the "Party in the Garden", I think. There is a better picture of M.I.A. at the same party at People's website. I got the picture for the song from Bonafide-Hustler.com.

Mozilla wants 1 million downloads or more on June 17th when the official version of Firefox 3 will be released. I have been using the "release candidate" of Firefox 3 (I don't know what "release candidate" means, but I think that is the right phrase ... kind of like "beta" or "testing version"), and I really love it. It is definitely the fastest browser I have ever used. I hate, hate, hate Internet Explorer, but I have always loved the Firefox browsers. I try to tell all of my friends, co-workers, relatives, and even members at my credit union to use Firefox because it is safer (especially when combined with Google Toolbar), and it is faster and more customizable (I don't think that's a word).

This is such a mainstream, overplayed, everyone's-heard-of-it kind of song, but I thought about it again tonight after seeing an article in the latest issue of TIME about Coldplay's new album. I love this video because it is really happy and tragic at the end since the two people are alive and back together, but you know the girl will die soon. It's weird how all the bad news and death in the world mean nothing to me, yet I can watch a simple video like this and it totally gets to me on some weird emotional level. There are a million movies that have done the same thing to me, but I don't have time to list them right now. I need to go to bed.

Oh, by the way, yesterday was 6-7-8 (and you know 6 is afraid of 7 because 7 8 (ate) 9. I know, that is corny. Anyway, I thought I would post some more random songs like I always do. None of these are new songs. I am really bad about living in the past sometimes.

Before the songs, though, here is a good article on some good Firefox extensions/add-ons to download. The author of the questions asks why businesses still use Internet Explorer when Firefox is clearly a better, safer browser, and I wonder the same thing. I hate, hate, hate Internet Explorer.

The above song, "Perro Amor Explota", is a lot of fun to sing along with when the "muere, muere, muere" part comes in and the singer rolls his Rs in an exaggerated way.

All of the above songs are from the soundtrack to "Amores Perros", a pretty cool movie that came out in 2000 and was directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, who has done a lot of cool movies. I haven't seen his movie, "Babel", but I think it has some of the same themes in it as Amores Perros, such as how everyone is connected in some way.

The most sexual song on the Amores Perros soundtrack is probably "Si Senor" by Control Machete (whose cover of the Jose Jose song, Amnesia, is hypnotic) ...

Math and Science is a band and album that came out in 2001, and I can't find anything about the band on Google (actually, I think it was just one guy). I have a lot of obscure CDs/songs like this one that most people have never heard of. Anyway, the album is actually not that bad. It's very pop-ish with lots of cool sound effects.

OK, that's all the random songs I wanted to post today. I wanted to post a video, mp3, etc., of the song, "Galaxy Glue", that is used in the movie, "The Incredible Shrinking Woman" (with Lily Tomlin). It's used in a commercial in the movie, and I think it is used as the theme song of the movie. I can't find the song online anywhere, but I will try to make a video of it for YouTube soon. It's always stuck in my head. How sad!

I think it is really cool to watch the iTunes visualization that plays along to this song. I tried to film it, but the quality of the video came out really bad. You can get the gist of what it looks like I guess.

I got a new Blackberry Pearl 8110. It seems pretty cool so far. I like that the alarm clock can be programmed to play an actual song on the microSD storage card (that you can insert into the side of the phone). Anyway, I am going to use the phone to wake me up in the morning to the sound of "The Oh of Pleasure". That will be a relaxing way to wake up.

I have a song in my head, but I don't know if it exists or not. In my head, it sounds like Joe Cocker is singing it. However, it also sounds like that song, "Natural Woman", that Carole King and Aretha Franklin both sang. It kind of sounds like Joe Cocker's version of "With a Little Help From My Friends" that was used for the theme song of "The Wonder Years". The song was originally by The Beatles, of course.

Anyway, the lyrics in my head are something like "What would you do if I told you ..." or "What would you say if I  ...". I know those lyrics sound like the theme song to "The Wonder Years", but I swear that is not the song. The song I am thinking of is slower and more melancholy in a way. Oh well, maybe I am just taking bits and pieces from other songs and combining them into a song that does not exist.
